How do I create a Works Cited page for my paper?
I need to cite the sources I used in my bibliography, annotated bibliography, or references page.
Answer
Helpful links for citations:
- See the links below that are sponsored by Purdue University Online Writing Center (OWL), a well-known institution. Their web pages have almost as much detail and examples as the official handbooks. The OWL web site has guidance for the following styles: MLA, APA, Chicago, IEEE, AMA, and ASA.
- The Library provides access to the MLA Handbook Plus as an entry on the A-Z Databases page and is also linked below. It provides the full text of the MLA Handbook 9th edition and other helpful tools.
- The Associated Press (AP) Stylebook is an e-book of a citation style often used by Digital Journalism students; see link below.
- "Cheat sheets": The .pdf documents linked below are quick two-page overviews of the MLA and APA style guides, created by SDCC Librarians. These sheets contain samples of the most common formats of resources used in term papers.
